Purpose, Travelling History, and fund
I am 38, hold Bsc Ed in Computer Science, About completing M.Sc Ed in Computer Science.
Admission on 2yrs Diploma program

Hello omofar, I was denied visa today they said they are not satisfied that I'll leave Canada after my studies, and I was told that I can reapply, I want to reapply tomorrow please what are the things I need to take note of when reaplying.

1. Do not rush to re-apply without critically considering why the real reasons why your application was refused. Doing that could also send a message that you might be desperate to enter into Canada.

2. You need to order for your CAIPS/GCMS notes, it takes about 30 days to get feedback. It will give you specific details/rationale about why the VO refused your application.

3. When you have this report, you can strategically assess your situation and address the issues raised by the VO, then you can re-apply.

4. Finally this is just a suggestion, you may choose to follow the advise.

Thanks lot Omofar. I just got my admission letter yesterday.
Unfortunately I do not have ANY international travel history. I am middle aged and leaving a family, house and job behind. THey would still consider me a flight risk?
What do you advise?

1. Depending on what kind of job you are currently doing, and the kind of letter of reference they issue to you. If you earn a decent annual salary, and they say you are granted a paid study leave, then that will show the embassy that you have a job to come back to upon completion of your studies.

2. Your family is also another good motivation to demonstrate that you will be returning back at the end of your program. You will need to show that your wife has a decent source of income as well, show real estate you both own, and explain that your kids are an important part of your life that you have no intention of abandoning them to remain beyond the period of your studies in Canada.

If the above conditions are in place, I think you still have a good chance.

Thanks for visiting this thread. I am sorry to hear about your refusal. Your application failed on all 3 important components required for study permit approval. I will strongly suggest you order for the CAIPS/GCMS notes to see why. In the mean time while you are waiting for feedback, I will honestly ask that you critically appraise your circumstances to see whether you can meet the minimum requirements to get the study permit approved. Its a lot of time and money to invest to be refused again.

You can definitely re apply without knowing the details of rejection but what if you a rejection again.
If you get your GCMS till 15 July and apply again correcting the fault, you will get a visa till July end. so you will be good to go in Aug.

Talking about the minimum requirements, I think i have sorted out two of the refusal ground by boosting my fund with the help of my sister's account statement and contract paper at her place of work in Europe and secondly by rewriting my explanation letter which I will like to forward to your email to assess.
But I currently don't know what to do about travelling history cos I have not travelled before. Please , more advice

i just pray we all get our visas, i have been a ghost reader but i decided to ask today. i applied may 24th and i did bio-metrics by 27. am from Nigeria, 21 years, just finished nysc, working in a company with base salary of 80k and applied using my father as sponsor, applied for post grad cert in Gis at fanshawe and i studied geology, already paid first semester tuition, and the account my father budgeted for my tuition has 6m inside that is second semester tuition plus cost of living, flight ticket too and extra 8 hundred k, i made sure he put in the sponsor letter that he will make sure i return to Nigeria to take care of asset which we attached all the documents and family which i also did on my SOP. the issue is that i wrote on my sop that i will return back to Nigeria to continue working and also set up side company so as to develop nigeria blah blah stuff but i didn't attach my employment letter and study leave from company. will i have a problem?

Why are you studying diploma program when you have Masters in Computer Science at 38 years old? That's what IRCC thinking. Try to justify best as possible. I recommend go for PHD or at least post graduation diploma in specialized field.

Good morning, I'm a Nigerian applied for study permit on the 5th of march got my passport yesterday,the letter attached to the passport didn't carry refusal anf a reason.The letter said "final decision is not received"
