Would they still send my AOR presuming rest of the application is complete, I can re-send them through the webform - particular page which require correction to Place of Birth.

This should not stop AOR as your application is complete, these errors are usually caught later in scrutiny. but again you never know.
Guess wait for the AOR so that you have application number and then submit through webform along with an explanation later.
Usually the sponsor receives AOR but sometimes it can go to the PA (like in my case). If the sponsor is a representative then of course all emails will go to them.
Here my Situation. Hey @Krissh2179 can you shed some light into this.
Went for a long vacation to visit my spouse in my home country from April 2nd week to May last week then from our home country we submitted spousal PR application in the middle of May and then I the sponsor returned to Canada in the end of May.
Would this lead to a return of application?? since I the sponsor was not in Canada when we submitted the application CIC?

For a PR to sponsor a spouse, it is required for the sponsor to be physically living in canada full time. Small breaks for vacation are fine, but IRCC can reject the application if the PR sponsor is found to be living outside canada for longer time.
A PR applying to sponsor their spouse before physically moving to canada is risking application rejection. So yes there are chances of rejection of your application.
I have been living in Canada full time and since 2011 and i was on vacation at the time of submitting PR application for my spouse . i didnt physically move out of Canada (I was on vacation) Do you really think this will lead to a rejection of application?
Yes you did not move but their website clearly states you have to be physically present in Canada to sponsor a spouse. Your file can be refused I am not saying its a 100% rejection, if your lucky you’ll be fine but because of their clause of having the PR live inside Canada at the time of submitting and processing their application, there still are chances of refusal.
