Spouse open work permit

Hello,

My company is sponsoring an Intra company transfer Canadian work permit. I have few queations on that

1. Can I apply for open work permit for my Spouse?
2. How much time it takes for open work permit if applied from US?
3. My spouse doesn't have any canada job offer yet, can he still get open work permit?
4. Is it mandatory to work in cananda if he gets open work permit?

Most of these questions would have already been answered in other forums, I'm sorry for the repeat, I'm new to this process and wanted to make things clear before I get started.

Hi, firstly congratulations on your ICT offer. yes your spouse will have to apply for dependent Open work permit. His work permit will also be tied to the last day of your visa date. I have applied it from India and have received in a month's time. even if no job with your spouse he can still get a OWP and he'll have to enter Canada once in a stipulated time frame.

Anyone here who applied for Spouse open work permit from India and it has got rejected to insufficient funds??
