PR sponsorship

Hello everyone,

I just had some inquiries and I hope some one can answer them..

so, I came to Canada when I was a kid with my family on some visa (I am not sure) and after some years my family got protected person status because my mom married her boyfriend who was a PP.

Then, my step father, was eligible to apply for PR as a protected person. So he applied for his own PR and also Ours with him.

Then we all got PRs

So, now I have PR for 2 years.
and I got married recently and want to sponsor my partner for PR as my partner is here on work permit.

so I want to know if I can sponsor OR not ... do I have to wait for five years as it seems in a way I was sponsored by my step dad ( not sure ).

You do NOT need to wait. You were a dependent, not sponsored.
