My eligibility is RR and it has to do with my permits so I attached additional permits and explained time line in detail so my Canadian work experience points are not deducted hopefully.

I am on a postgrad work permit and later I applied for a study permit before it expired as I am pursuing a professional designation part time and the courses are through ubc. I did that as it seems that if you study without a permit you almost always get rejected. I got a BOWP in March.
All other criteria is passed except security check has not been started yet.

Called the CIC today, was informed that I cleared eligibility and background check. And my file is processed in local visa office in Edmonton. Isnt it strange, Should it be Ottawa ?

It's same for me. According to Gcms Ottawa is primariy office and Edmonton is secondary office

Hi People,

I applied PR through CEC on Sept 07 2018. Got to know that my eligibility is in RR for my arranged employment. No update since MEP. Two days back my medical changed from 'passed' to'you do not need medical' . I contacted call center and the agent said the visa office requested for re accesment because it's expiring next month. Other than that eligibility, criminality, security are passed. I want to know what happens now? Re medical?
