Hi
I have applied my TRV for the first through online in May and within 10 days I got a mail saying that my visa has been rejected.

Again I applied through paper mode on May 23 rd at VFS Hyderabad with some change in consequences.
on May 27th, I got a message from VFS saying that my application has been received by Banglore IRCC and is in process.

Till today I haven't received any update on this its been almost 9 business working days that went off. My travel date is 14th June, is there any way they can help me in expediting the process? If so whom should I reach?

Will the visa process be prioritized based on the candidate travel dates?

Please provide your valuable suggestions on this. Thank you !

The mode of applying has little/no impact on the decision. It's the quality of the paperwork (documents, evidence, etc) that affect a visa decision.

It's not advisable to book tickets prior to being granted visas.

Unfortunately, there's no way to expedite a decision. You'll probably need to change your travel plans

Hi Bryanna,

Thanks a lot for your reply.

Initially, when i applied through online for the first time i got my visa refusal on below reasons :
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
• I am not satisfied that you have a legitimate business purpose in Canada.

But i am wondering how can they consider that i don't have a legitimate business, actually i have been invited for All Hands meeting by top notch company for being a valued contributor they have invited me( i have provided all the details related to this meeting like wiki page, my contributions showing that am not an employee ) I have applied the visa under business purpose as i am going for business conference.

I have provided below documents :
  • Invitation letter from the company invited
  • Cover letter stating my profile and my purpose of trip
  • Air tickets
  • Hotel booking
  • day by day plan
  • event schedule
  • NOC and leave letter from my employer
  • pay stubs from my employer
  • employment letter from my employer
  • bank statements with 7K CAD , although the entire trip is sponsoring by company invited
  • Income tax statements for last 2 years
  • travel history docs ( stamps from Singapore, Indonesia)
  • A document written about my contributor activities and attachments related to my documents showing i am just a contributor
  • A property document which was joint registered with my brother
I stated that i have a strong reason to come back India as my brother is getting married in this month and also stated about my job , my duties and family ties

After seeing the refusal letter i am very much disappointing though i have provided everything strong but still this has been rejected :(
i have a prior couple of US rejections, does this makes a sense?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So, i decided to re apply again and this time tried to go with paper mode application, i have enclosed all the same documents with notarized
and few changes in cover letter, last time my cover letter went for 3 pages so worried this should not be an essay and changed with it.

My time line was :
May 23rd submitted application at VFS Hyderabad
May 27th my application was under process at IRCC Bangalore
till today it was 13 days of process but still i dint hear anything from them

More over i couldn't change my travel plans as this a scheduled conference :( i am in dilemma now whether i will get my visa processed before my travel date i.e., 14th June.

Yesterday checked with VFS team, they said that they cant help me in this case as they don't have a control in expediting the process, they asked me to mail them at chadimmigration@international.gc.ca

I have written a draft mail like below

--------------------------------------

Dear Sir/Madam,

This is with reference to the application on TRV applied at VFS Hyderabad on 23rd May.

I have applied this visa in order to attend All Hands meet by Mozilla scheduled on 16th June

My travel dates are getting closer i.e., on 14th June, It's been almost 13 days, since the application time has been in process.

I request you if you can expedite and do the needful

Thank you

Sandeep

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My queries are :
1) Whether this mail looks okay ? can we expect a reply from them ?
2) Whether my present and previous documentation is over looked?
@Bryanna, i request you to please go through my case and provide your views. Thanks again.

Yes this was a paper based , but can we link our TRV to gckey ?
Yes and one should as VFS emails are generics and do not give the IRCC status.

Create a new GC Key account. On the link https://www.canada.ca/en/services/immigration-citizenship.html, click "Sign in or create an account to apply online" on right and go down a little to "continue to GC Key" and click it. Now click "Sign Up" on the right and create a new profile. Remember the answers to the security questions that you'd be setting at this time.
Once that's done, login again and click "Add (link) your application to your account " on the User's account page.
Select category as "temporary residence" and sub-category as TRV. Under "Application details" select last option. Enter UCI, no hyphens and no space. Enter Family Name as last name on passport (upper/lower case matters). Next, select passport from drop down.
Enter all other fields as filled in application form. And click "search my application". If all fields are correct it will give you the application and you can proceed with linking it. If not, it give you 4 more attempts in 24 hours and then it would ask you to try again after 24 hours.

@Bryanna ,
Thank you so much for the below Input, I haven't got any UCI number , I just got only VFS application which we can track in their portal,

Any idea where can we get if we apply through paper mode.

Also , I submitted webform yesterday to expedite my process as my travel date is approaching very soon.

They said that they can't do anything right now :(

I haven't got any UCI number --> UCI is always same for an applicant.

Any idea where can we get if we apply through paper mode. --> If would be on the last rejection letter or biometric enrollment or acknowledgment email if you have rcvd one.

Also , I submitted webform yesterday to expedite my process as my travel date is approaching very soon. ---> I don't think you should expect any reply, as it not advisable to book tickets before visa

You mean as I already had an earlier rejection, so my UCI number is same for the new application ??

I linked my paper application to my GC account without using my UCI, just select the option FAMILY NAME, GICEN NAME AND DATE OF BIRTH.

then complete the information, name, surname and date (this must be the same as they are in the passport)

then in the applicant's information, select passport and provide the information you filled out in the form.

If you have the application number you can also select the option APPLICATION NUMBER AND FAMILY NAME and it is easy.
