Who made those 2021 goals??? Liberals made that goal once liberals will loose conservatives will change everything. If you see numbers oF ITAs there is a big difference in numbers before and after election
The IRCC is part of government. And yes, it can be used as a political pawn depending on the Minister in charge. It's not about being genuine or having integrity. TheMminister can set targets and adjust them as he/see she's fit depending on circumstance.
Woah woah woah! Wait a minute there guys!
What makes you guys actually think that even if the conservatives come into play, they ll lower the immigration levels (for skilled workers) that is!
Did any of you even try to grasp their stance on immigration?
It is not at all anti-immigration. That's just hearsay and propaganda!
I ll try to sum it up for you guys, just in case you are mistaken-
1. Not anti immigration but anti illegal immigration.
2. Less inclined to welcome refugees than the Trudeau regime which is welcoming them by shiploads (this is the main issue of divide!)
3. Less inclined to grant temporary work permits than Trudeau government, as in their eyes, that's not justice to the Canadian people.
4. Better regulating TRV's, in an attempt to keep a check on immigrants that go missing.
5. No citizenship rights to children born to migrants having no permanent status in Canada. (To be granted Suo Motto citizenship, one of the parents must be a PR or citizen.)
Now, these are all the points that Conservatives will try to address once they come into rule! Not that they ll damage the economy by reducing skilled immigration, which is not only highly beneficial to the economy, but also definitely required as it brings value and not burden to the country.
TL,DR: Skilled immigration is the least of conservative party's concern.
But for refugees and asylum seekers, the Sun will surely remain under the horizon.
