Greetings folks..

I applied for a PCC from Indian Consulate in New York and below is the format in which I received the doc:

This is to certify that there is no adverse information in respect to (my name) holder of Indian Passport No. XYZ issued at ABC on ddmmyyy, which would render him ineligible for the grant of travel facilities including visa for Canada.

The PCC doers not have my photo ID, nor my indian address, just the aforementioned words. Did I get the correct kind of PCC? Can anyone advise.

No issues. This is how Indian PCC is issued.

I am not sure whether I apply for the PCC from India or from Canada. I live in Canada as a foreign student but visiting India for the past 6 months for research fieldwork and thought of applying for my Canadian PR alongside. I am returning to Canada towards the end of this month so should I get a PCC from India or go back to Canada and then get it done? Please can a professional respond to my query?

Professionals charge money to answer queries. You will only find fellow applicants like you here sharing their experiences.

From what I know, for countries other than your country of residence (Canada), the PCC must have been issued after you last visited that country. So in this case, you must get the certificate after you leave India.
