Passport Expiry

Hello.

Sorry of this topic has been asked before.But I just want to check with you fellas, my passport will expire on Feb2020 at the moment I finished my medical, biometrics and been asked to submit one additional document. I know some airlines requires 6months validity of passport. Just wondering if the immigration request for passport how many weeks/days before we have to submit it (30 or 60 days?). Any case here that has been sent to sydney australia? I was reading some threads, Saying sydney office was little slow? Anyone has the same situation?

You have 30 days to submit your passport after passport request but if your PA is Australian you do not need to submit your passport only copies. The instructions on what all is needed where and how to send them will be mentioned in the letter. If you are worried about your passport expiring before you travel, you can always apply for a new passport and once you get it with you, send copies of the new one through webform stating that your old passport was expiring and you renewed it. So when they issue you a Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR), it will be for the new passport.

You better renew your passport, if you get a visa, it will be valid until feb 2020 also.
