Wedding in August. Denied Visa. And I am the BEST MAN

I was denied visa, the reason being that I might not return if granted visa. I only want to be in my brother’s wedding and return after the wedding. If I had intentions of not returning, I should have applied for Permanent Residency long ago. My brother is a citizen and can sponsor me for permanent residency. There’s no need to go about it illegally. PLEASE I CAN’T MISS MY BROTHER’s WEDDING. What can I do to get them to see reasons why I would return after the wedding?

Post your complete profile and what documents you submitted for anyone to be able to help.

Your brother cannot sponsor you for permanent residency so you cannot use that as proof that you will go back to your country.

Sorry, they don't care why you want to be in Canada. They only care why you need to LEAVE Canada after your stay. So what proof can you give them? Only you can answer this question and provide proof, not any of us or anyone else. Do you have a job? Property? Family? Financial assets?

What did you provide for?

1. Purpose of travel
2. Financial Support
3. Home and/or Family ties
4. Travel history, if applicable

Just to confirm. Because your brother is getting married, there is no possibility of him sponsoring you now for PR.
Even the "lonely Canadian" rule, if it previously applied, will no longer be considered.

You'll need to provide your full profile if you want us to assist. This includes listing what information you included in the application to show ties to your home country, your past travel history, length of trip you requested and funds you showed to support your trip.

The point I was trying to make is that if I wanted to come stay in Canada I would have applied for PR long ago.
I never did. I am a teacher, a private tutor and an itinerant gospel minister. And I am enjoying what I do.

I see your point I will suspect someone with my resume won’t return back too. Single, A Teacher, and financial statement not much to write home about.
They can put a tracker on me or something, I won’t mind. My brother can also surety to make sure I leave after the wedding. They have his records they can always trace him.
