My spouse received Biometrics Request - 15th May 2019
SA - Sponsor Approval - 17th May 2019
Moved to Visa Office - Application has been moved to another visa office CPC Mississauga for processing - 30th May 2019

Usually if your file is going to Mississauga VO, they ask you to do your medicals before transfer but yes there is no specific pattern and everything within the 12 month period is considered normal. Usually when applications go to local VO’s of PA’s country of residence, that’s when they give medical instructions quite later so that it does not expire before your application is processed. But Mississauga is one of the fastest VO’s out there so its strange they would transfer and then send medicals. Have you linked your application to gckey? What does the medical line state?

Thanks for your response..

Yes i linked the application and the status for medical says this.

Review of medical results -You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes.

Thanks

Then do not stress about it and wait. Not everyone gets the requests in the same order. Its better to wait and give the medicals closer to file completion than to end up giving it twice if your processing takes longer.

So i would wait until they request for medicals and then i give for medicals. Correct??

Thank you so much...

And you stated that CPC Mississauga office is processing fast.. how long ROUGHLY it would it take to get passport request once they receive the file??

And another question and this is not related to medicals..

Can i go ahead and apply for Visit visa?? i applied once before apply for PR and it got rejected.. What are the chances of getting Visiting visa since the file already moved to CPC office?

Thanks again

I cant give you a definite processing time since thats completely dependent on your case. Most Indian applicants transferred to Mississauga are getting processed within 1-2 months after transfer. It really depends on a lot of factors like how fast your BGC is completed as well as eligibility to assess genuine relationship. In your case them not asking for medicals yet can mean a longer processing time. However, its still faster than most VO’s outside Canada so as long as your file is not transferred again to PA’s local VO, should happen fairly soon.

You can try to apply for visitors again (this time since you have SA too) but chances of rejection are still gonna be very high with spousal cases. Its very hard to convince them that you will return. If u have additional proof that you can show very strong ties to PA’s country (different to the ones you sent when your visitors was rejected) then try. Otherwise its going to yield the same result. Good Luck.

They consider anything within the 12 month time frame normal. Your eligibility and BGC in progress is a good thing. Maybe the additional docs is taking longer to be reviewed or the criminality aspect of your BGC is taking longer since you sent PCC in April. What country’s PCC were you asked for?

What number are you using to call. And like I said, maybe its taking long for criminality aspect of your BGC. When you send your PCC they still need to verify its authenticity and do their own processing of your history in that country so its taking a while.

I am similar timeline to you, people that are doing csq apparently it is taking longer to ask for the medical check. If you don’t do csq generally you get the medical request before file transfer but I guess the visa office has to hold off because of the wait on the csq
