I wish to use this to ask a couple of questions for the application for my Mother and my step father which is due to submit by the end of June 2019. I wish to people with experiences maybe able to help on this one. Thank you all so much.
My mother retired in her home country and her spouse works for a bank and he is going to retire in 2.5 years from now. It is hard for him to have access to his personal passport before he retire as part of his work arrangement.
My 1st question is: how soon are they going to be asked to give their Biometrics? I know that requires a passport and there is a deadline of 30days. I guess similar for Medical exam. I understand the timeline is usually 20-24 months, I believe there are cases people got approved early or late, just wanted to see when do the parents are being asked to do the Biometrics.
My second question is: if I mark my Step Father as non-accompanying spouse at this time and my mother will receive her PR status in about two years. Will I be able to sponsor him in the future say after his retirement? He is my step father, if I could I guess that's through proving he is my mother's spouse again.
