Hi...

I have done a search on the existing forums but couldn't find a definitive answer - I am hoping someone can help.

I am a dual citizen of 2 countries (UK and NZ) and hold passports to both. My COPR has been issued against my UK passport.

Are there any issues if I ever need to enter Canada using my NZ passport - will be PR card be valid with it? Will there be any impact when I come to renew if I have been entering on my NZ passport sometimes and also is there a way/need to change my PR to be linked to my NZ passport if I need to?

Thanks in advance!

PR card is not linked to a passport. If you need a PRTD for any reason however, it will be linked to a specific passport.

Doesn't the PR card also have the originating country printed though? OP will probably have it as the UK, not sure if they'd print two nationalities. Not sure if the CBSA officer will allow it on the NZ passport if that's the case.

You are free to enter on whichever passport you want. No effect on renewal and no need to change the PR card.

Many people hold multiple citizenships. It doesn't matter which one is stated on the PR card.

It has the holder's nationality. In my case it was "GBR". That doesn't mean that it's linked to a specific passport. There is no passport number encoded on it.

That’s quite the collection of citizenships. Doesn’t look like this is a spousal sponsorship so not sure what you are expecting out of Canada after not wanting to live in the UK or NZ.
