Transit Visa processing time

hello~

I want to ask about the processing time of the transit visa. I applied my sister and my transit visas on 4/29 online, then there were some more documents I need to provide, so I submitted on 5/9. From that day, it has been two weeks, it is still showing ‘submitted’ without any updates, Application status
is “We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.”, i’m now very worried i cannot get the visas on time, since our flight departs on 6/25, and their working efficiency seems very slow.

is that anyone having the experience of applying transit visa, can you tell me how long is the processing time, or anything I can do to speed up the processing time?

People are advised to not book (but only reserve) flights before visa.


What is the processing time for the country of application?

air canada did not mention it when I paid for the flight.

it said the the processing time is 8 to 15days.

What is the processing time on CIC's website? Are you sure it's a range of days and not a number?
Which country are you applying from?

i applied it online~
i’m from Macau SAR, but I’m living in Taiwan right now.
I searched in IRCC, it said 8 days for Taiwan and 14days for Macau

Okay! There are some files that take longer than the estimated processing time and yours seem to be one. There is no definite reason for that but that how it has been, as read on forum.

You seem to be over your processing time so you can send a IRCC webform raising a CSE but it will also take anywhere between a week to a month for them to get you an update.

And as you asked in the original post, unfortunately there is nothing you can do to speed up the process. All you can do other than raising a CSE, is to wait for an update.

Unfortunately, I got refused on Tuesday, they said I had not provided the additional family information form, which I have really uploaded.
Forget it, there's no way to appeal, so I reapply it immediately, now the 'background check' became ' not applicable', hope it is good news for me
