Oh, bummer...I don't think I will be able to count it as 3 years then

Is this student status thing applies to overseas work experience as well or only for canadian work experience? Because even if I have 3 years work experience, my score won't reach 470s as I only have 8777 in IELTS? How do u think I will have score of 470s range?

I was talking about myself being in the 470s if that was possible, sorry maybe I wasn't clear.
I think its applicable for anywhere you worked/studied.

I really need help with work experince calculation. On CIC website it says below

  • full-time at more than 1 job: 30 hours/week for 12 months at more than 1 job = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)

For part-time work, you can work more or less than 15 hours/week as long as it adds up to 1,560 hours.

I was working part time from August 2012 to March 2018. I worked 20hrs/week from Aug 2012 to Dec 2015, then worked 16hrs/week till end of my employment. So, in total I worked for 5076hours in 5 years and 7 months during my part time job.

So, based on the last paragraph stated on the CIC website ( For part-time work, you can work more or less than 15 hours/week as long as it adds up to 1,560 hours.), can I claim 3 years work experience, since 3 x 1560hrs=4680hrs and I worked more than that? TIA for your input guys. Really appreciate it

If this experience includes your study period then I'm afraid it would be negligible, however if you started right after completing the study program, then yes for that period you can definitely claim points. It is applicable to both, inland as well as ouland applicants.

Don't know where it will jump to, but yes it will be highly unstable for a while!

It is going to be between 455 - 469

There should that many people in the pool to have a score more than 484 if you compare 2017 draw and out of the blue how can so many people come from nowhere with that high score in. A 4 week gap

We discussed a lot in this one earlier ~ they had three times or four times weekly b2b draw before the 4 weeks gap

People who got ITA with 413 were the luckiest people in the world

I think it will be somewhere between 457-465. God knows the rest.

Is this true? They don't mention anywhere separately for Canadian and non-canadian education from what I have seen. I also didn't study in Canada, so it would be great if that's true. Can you give a link from where this is mentioned?

I strongly think it is 461 which will come down to 454 and 452 451 450 by August which would be the 7th draw and in September generally they have pnp and then last quarter for people with scores of 445 to 440

My Australian bachelor was 3 years. I got 18months graduate visa after that for which I continue working as part time.

Your recent study course was completed in 2016? After that are you on work permit?

Besides, as you have Australian degrees why didn't you opted for Australian skilled immigrant stream?

I think in that case you can start counting your experience from September 2016 cause your graduate certificate is proof that you are not a student anymore?
