I received my PPR today, in the letter it is stated that passport validity should be at least 12 months, my passport validity is more than 12 months but my child passport expire in 10 months, is it ok to submit it?
my letter says "
If you are holder of passport(s) from countries whose citizens need a visa to travel to Canada, you will need to submit the passport for you and for each accompanying family member. To avoid complications with international travel,
it is recommended that your passport(s) be valid for at least 6 months. Your passport must have at least two blank pages. If a child is included on your passport, you must have one blank page per accompanying child. Please note that you STILL need to submit the passport even if:
o You have a valid Canadian temporary residence visa.
o You are a permanent resident of the U.S.A AND holder of passport from countries whose citizens need a visa to travel to Canada."
I think you can try to get passport renewed within 15 days ( might be possible, depending upon your country's passport processing speed) Or just submit passports as it is and if they REALLY need 12 months validity of the passport they will ask you to resubmit new passport at that point you can request additional time for submission. [I am not an expert, so please try to get more information before making decision]
