Inland Sponsorship for Wife with Visitor Visa

Hi Folks,

I searched over the internet and found no exact match for my situation so, I am creating a new thread, experts kindly point me at exactly similar threads if you can find, Thanks.

I am PR in Canada employed permanently in a job from August 2018, below is my situation.

1. My then Fiance/Girlfriend applied for Visitor visa courtesy of an Invitation by our common friend in Canada, in February 2019 she was approved a TRV.
2. We got married in Religious ceremony in India in March 2019.
3. She is planned to travel shortly after quitting her Indian job and visit me here in summer for a month(she has return tickets) and if allowed apply for Inland sponsorship.

Is the above plan legitimate and allowed, what should we change in our approach? what is the best practice at Border or IRCC(while applying for PR dependent)

Note: She has already quit her job and will be travelling here with a rich travel history in US(work) and Scandinavia(studies), only daughter with ancestral properties in India, Parents and Parent's properties are the only ties she has to India though.

Please help me clear my mind of anxiety and guide me if I am in the wrong.

It is allowed. It is not the most legitimate - she is not a genuine visitor if her intention is to travel to Canada and then apply for an inland sponsorship. She could theoretically be denied entry at the border, despite having a visa, if the border officer feels she will stay longer than she is allowed.

When she arrives at the border, she must not appear to be moving to Canada. She must answer all questions honestly.

If this is not "the most legitimate" approach, We want everything to carried out honestly, so if there is chance that she will be denied, can she say that she is just visiting me and will apply for PR only if its allowed/eligible ?, or any other approach is much appreciated .

Lots of people do this. I would purchase a return ticket and then cancel it when she arrives in Canada. As indicated before she can't arrive with all her belongings she must appear as a visitor. Would answer any question she is asked honestly but not elaborate.

As said above, it's fine. She is entering as a visitor, not moving to Canada. With CBSA, answer questions honestly but don't volunteer information. If they ask about PR, be honest about the intention to apply. There is nothing wrong with that. If they don't ask, don't mention it.

As already stated, be honest. If she says it's the friend, she's lying.

If she's asked, she cannot lie if she's visiting you. Don't over script her interactions with CBSA, because if it looks like she's reading from a script, CBSA will be suspicious. If she's asked point blank if she's visiting her husband, obviously don't lie.

Read up on dual intent and what it means in this case. She can intend to apply for PR but also intend to abide by visitor conditions at the same time.

Hi Folks,

My wife landed safely and was not even asked to check in her passport with a CBSA because a Kiosk took care of it, I am currently in the process of collecting our wedding related documents and will be applying for Inland sponsorship dependent visa, I will open up another thread if I am stuck and will consult the sticky threads for Inland to educate myself.
