Hello ,

I need a help for a couple of questions.Im A mom with 3 kids. for a religious and racism reasons, I will flee the country of my stay and seek for protection.my questions are:
1- I was refused for tourist Visa to Canada ,but I have a valid tourism Visa to USA, my question if I entered Canada through USA ,
Does the refusal of Canada visa may affect my ability to ask for asylum?
2-which is better for crossing the border from USA to Canada, official border checkpoints, or non official?taking into consideration that I have a first degree relative "my brother" in London who has PR status.
3-if the answer to Q2 is non official border like roxham road,
a-Does that means I will be forced to satay in Quebec?
b- Can I move to London Ontario to stay near my brother?
4- if the answer for Qestion 2 is official border,
a- Which is better to cross through? Peace bridge or rainbow bridge?
b-Is there a pre arrangement that I should do like I heard that I have to arrange with a church for an appointment to enter through the bridge?
c-Should my brother come from London Ontario to pick me up?or no need for his presence?

5- I'm planning to request for a work permit as I have a Bsc. degree in biochemistry , but until I get it,
a- Am I entitled for welfare for me?
b- who much is the welfare for me in Quebec and in London Ontario?
c- who much is the child benefit in Quebec and London Ontario?
d- Am I and my kids entitled for medical benefits in Quebec or Londo Ontario?or it's only just for kids?
e- can I apply to study in a University before I get the refugee status?
f- can I request for a work permit directly after I'm inside Canada and When can I ask for that.?
g-When can apply for welfare if I didn't get the work permit or didn't find a job?
6- my happened most likely will not travel with us as his company didn't give him a permit to be able to travel( this th system in the country we are staying in), my questions:
a- can he send me some money from time to time?
b- how can he send me money?

c- if I was entitled for a welfare , does the money my husband sends to me affect my welfare?
d-how much money he can send me that won't affect my welfare if I was entitled for it?

7-can fill in the applications that is needed at the border previously?
8-if yes, can you help to give me a link of the latest version?
9- if I was able to go to a university, can they help me in the tuitions?
10- if I was lucky to study in a university , how can I support myself If i wasn't entitled for a welfare?

Thanks from my heart

Are you sure you qualify for asylum? Racism and religious issues don’t qualify unless you can prove individual persecution. It doesn’t sound like you have haven’t been living in your home country. I would suggest you consult with a few Canadian immigration consultants before uprooting your family. Have you looked into economic immigration which is a much better option?

It is not about asylum, it is all about welfare, hence, free rider!!! And you know what, as a tax payer, I am sick and tire of this bullsh!t. It is time to stop all of that. Can't wait the coming election.

No.

2-which is better for crossing the border from USA to Canada, official border checkpoints, or non official?taking into consideration that I have a first degree relative "my brother" in London who has PR status.

I won’t comment on illegal border crossing.

3-if the answer to Q2 is non official border like roxham road,

Crossing an illegal border is illegal. No Canadian will encourage you to break our laws.

a-Does that means I will be forced to satay in Quebec?

Unless the government detains you or limits your movement for some reason you should be able to move anywhere in Canada if you have the funds to do so.

b- Can I move to London Ontario to stay near my brother?

If you have the money to move and stay in London yes you can.

4- if the answer for Qestion 2 is official border,
a- Which is better to cross through? Peace bridge or rainbow bridge?

Whichever,

b-Is there a pre arrangement that I should do like I heard that I have to arrange with a church for an appointment to enter through the bridge?

Would be helpful but not necessary. You may wait all day.

c-Should my brother come from London Ontario to pick me up?or no need for his presence?

You will need to show documentation proving he is your brother he doesn’t have to come but you have to find a way to go elsewhere after crossing the border.

5- I'm planning to request for a work permit as I have a Bsc. degree in biochemistry , but until I get it,

Yes due to the volume of applicants they now grant work permits to everyone.

a- Am I entitled for welfare for me?

If your family has no saving or income then you may qualify for welfare. Your husband may not be with you but he factors into whether you qualify. Welfare is barely enough to survive on. I assume you will live with your brother if you have no savings. It will likely be a necessity if you have no money and don’t want to live with other homeless Canadians.

b- who much is the welfare for me in Quebec and in London Ontario?

Google. Usually barely enough to live and most are dependent on other charity.

c- who much is the child benefit in Quebec and London Ontario?

You don’t qualify as an asylum claimant.

d- Am I and my kids entitled for medical benefits in Quebec or Londo Ontario?or it's only just for kids?

All of you will qualify for the federal health program for refugees.

e- can I apply to study in a University before I get the refugee status?

You will need a study permit and will have to pay international fees. Some get approved most don’t. Most don’t have the money to pay for their own education and need to work.

f- can I request for a work permit directly after I'm inside Canada and When can I ask for that.?

Yes you can apply once you have it is determined that you qualify to apply for asylum.

g-When can apply for welfare if I didn't get the work permit or didn't find a job?

You will have to provide proof that you qualify based on your family income and savings.

6- my happened most likely will not travel with us as his company didn't give him a permit to be able to travel( this th system in the country we are staying in), my questions:
a- can he send me some money from time to time? Yes.

b- how can he send me money? Money or bank transfer

c- if I was entitled for a welfare , does the money my husband sends to me affect my welfare?

Yes.

d-how much money he can send me that won't affect my welfare if I was entitled for it?

You have to look into this.

7-can fill in the applications that is needed at the border previously?

8-if yes, can you help to give me a link of the latest version?
9- if I was able to go to a university, can they help me in the tuitions?

No.

10- if I was lucky to study in a university , how can I support myself If i wasn't entitled for a welfare?

Work. If you can afford to pay international fees you likely are not on welfare.

Thanks from my heart

If you have a brother in Canada, the Safe-Third country agreement doesn't apply and you can claim asylum at any port of entry. You will need to tell the officer that you have a brother who is legally in Canada as a PR, and have some documentary proof.

I have no idea about your questions about welfare.

Always best to check with a Canadian lawyer. If you are living in a 3rd country where you are safe that would change your case. Have you tried to move to another region of your country? That is a common reason why people get refused. You will need to provide evidence that your life is at risk like police reports, hospital reports, newspaper clips, etc. Asylum claims and living as an asylum seekers is far from easy or comfortable and carries lots of consequences if you are refused. Economic immigration should be considered first especially if you qualify.

would also point out that childcare is extremely expensive and that of your children are school aged school ends mid afternoon so you would need to pay for after school care and even before school care. I know that can be $500-1000 per month per child. There is also 2+months of school summer holidays and others holidays or days off during the summer. Working full-time as a single parent is difficult and can be very expensive. With 3 children it could be too expensive to cover childcare costs unless you have a lot of savings or have a very good job. Legal aid Ontario is only funding part of the asylum process now so you will also have to factor that into your costs as well. You are going to have to start researching on your own. Many of these answers were easy to find on the internet or you could ask your brother for help.

Would still get a legal consult. The repercussions of a negative asylum claim are significant.

Sorry, I don't feel it. And you asked questions on a public forum, I have all the rights to express my comments on them, you like it or not, it is completely irrelevant. All in all, Canada is a free speech country, learn it, before you even come here.

I believe that if someone is a legit asylum seeker, they would file their claim at the first safe country they arrived. Yes, the US is currently much restrict to approve asylum claim, but if you are a legit one, you have nothing to worry about. Why don't you claim your asylum in US instead?

And yes, I would use my vote to elect someone that can stop all those bullsh!t in the coming election. I believe a lot Canadian share the same idea with me nowadays.
