Do whatsApp chat translation has to be certified? will be that be considerate documents by cic while some sentence is slang/has no meaning?

If you are submitting it for proof of contact, and it is not in English or French, it must be translated.

I heard you could do your own translations and that if they ask for certified translations, they will get in touch with you. I know someone who basically screenshotted like three conversations per month and just had those translated, rather than having tons and tons of messages.

You cannot supply your own translation. Thats super clear in the guide. Unless you can point to a place that supports it.

Hi,

My wife and I got our chats translated from a certified translator in India. The translator is going to provide a certificate and stamp proving that they are certified translators.
According to the guide, we also need to submit copies of the original screenshot along with the translated documents.

My question is - do we need to certify the original screenshots too?
