Agreed but what's done is done. Let's hope for increased ITAs or B2B soon. It would be sad for all the people around our range if the score doesn't drop. So close yet so far :/
Guys, based on the trends of ITA issued last year , I expect ITA to issued in each draw to reach 4100. This is my prediction. CIC has to increase it to achieve target of 90k + this year. I sure it will b increased to 4100 or 4200.This will clear a backlog in 450 range applications and the CR's score cut off score will reduce to early 440,'s by year end. Mark my words. Guys in the 440 range should send me gifts if my prediction come true.:):)

Hi folks i need advice, please offer some wisdom. My points are currently 445,birthday is in Sept. I had started collecting my documents including Police Clearance etc. I was very optimistic when the year started.

Now my medical appointment is up in a few days. Right now I'm confused if i should cancel or go ahead with the appointment. There is a two- three month wait for appointments.
Is this a waste of money? Should i wait until scores really drop. But who knows anything can happen right.
I have all my documents ready except for PC and Medical cause I was advised by many to wait until I receive the ITA since they want it as recent as possible.

Anything can happen but I would be very surprised if the score falls rapidly to 445. As happy as that would make me, it seems unlikely that its going to happen anytime soon.

I tend to agree with you. Draw size has increased over the years from 2500 to 3900 at peak and 3350 as a regular draw size. With the CIC's ambitious goal, I won't be surprised if the peak volume rises to 4000+ in a draw.

Here PCC is only valid for six months. While medicals for 12 months, but still nervous about doing it.

A very optimistic post for once, most of the posts here are mostly doom & gloom. FST draw showed just how unpredictable CIC is this year.

1. On the CIC website, it has been clearly mentioned that the PCC doucment should be submitted near the e-AOR of the application, so that it stays valid throught the whole process.

2. Cancel the current appointment or extend it. The reasons for this are:

Firstly, honestly speaking, considering the current trend, it has been estimated that the score is not going to be around 445 anytime soon, atleast not before 2-3 months.

Secondly, suppose you've got the ITA in the following 2 months and submits the documents. Cic could ask you to submit the ADR of Medicals once again. So, in that case you'll have to book for another medicals. Looking at your scenario, it will cost you both time and money. Medicals, within the month of the AOR, either before or after, will be accepted only.

Yes, try CES/IQAS. Both of them will evaluate your Masters degree as Masters.

I am expecting an ITA in the June end, should I do the PCC now.?

Has anyone got the domestic PCC before receiving the ITA and whether IRCC accepts it.?

Looking at your score (474), go for it without even a second thought. You'll get your ITA in the next round.

PCC is valid for 6 months, it's always better to get it done before ITA.

Yes, I got mine 2 weeks ago and IRCC would accept it as long you got it within 6 months prior to your submission.

From the CIC website:

For the country where you currently live
The police certificate for the country where you currently live:

  • must be issued no more than 6 months before the date you submit your application
  • must not be expired
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/apply-permanent-residence/police-certificates.html

Yes, I read the same on the IRCC website.

But I am not sure whether the local PSK would be giving PCC without ITA, since I have heard they need a proof for immigration.

Secondly, my consultant says that sometimes IRCC rejects the PCC if the same is dated before ITA.

I am not sure, whether I should wait for ITA and get the PCC done or do it now, since it is probable that I would be getting an ITA soon.
