Do I need to put intern experience in past 10 years employment section?

Hi guys,

I have a question about renewing study permit.

Do I need to put foreign paid intern experience in past 10 years employment section? It happened while I am still a full time student in Canada.

It is not an employment since it is an internship. If you are working under a work permit then it will be counted as an employment.

This is about counting co-op experience towards work obligations. The question was whether you had to include paid co-op work in your 10 year employment history.

Please, I have a similar question. When filing the IMM 1294, should I include a paid internship as work experience? I clearly mentioned on my SOP that this was an internship though.

Internships can be paid. Don’t have the form. If you are being asked to list any jobs you have had you should include internships but you can’t use any employment that is a requirement of your degree as work experience for points or as a requirement for an immigration program.

Thanks for the prompt reply. The form I'm referring to is the Study Permit Application Form made outside of Canada. I'm not yet applying for any other immigration program.
