Today, after almost 2 months of becoming Canadian citizens, me and my son applied for passports.
We went to Passport Canada - Canada Place in Edmonton.
Arrived by 12:45 pm. We immediately line up and it took us about an hour just to get to the pre -screening window. (There was only 1 window open for pre-screening) . The lady just asked if we have all the requirements.(2photos, the forms, our IDs and Proof of Canadian Citizenship.) Then she gave us our number then sat at the waiting area. We waited for a few minutes before our number appeared on the screen.
Then we went to window #7.
The man asked for our forms, checked our certificate of citizenship, our IDs. He put the forms in a small plastic bag. Paid the fee. ($160 each- 10 years validity). It took about 15 minutes to finish our application. He said, we’ll receive our passports by June 3rd via express post.
We were done by 2pm.
All in all experience was ok. So excited to receive our Canadian passports! Woot woot!!!
