Wrong information entered in canada visa application . Please help

Hi,
My dad made a grave mistake and entered wrong info on Family name and Given Name. Because of this , VFS customer care asked me to mail high commision for change at : delhi-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca

Issue is : Biometric document has wrong name mentioned

Should I wait for applicant name change or should my dad apply for a new visa again? We are travelling in July.

That email would suffice. Make sure to attach a passport scan with correct name in the email and also another GOvt. ID with same name (the correct one).

Thank you. I raised the concern on IRCC form . Hope they make a change fast , as its causing a delay in processing

We do not respond unless you have already submitted an application and we need additional information from you. If a response is justified, we will write within 30 days.
We do not provide status updates on applications in process.
We do not confirm receipt of documents or passports.

I raised issue on Ircc webform as well, but didn't got any response back. I assume , it's because of :

The web form is currently having some issues with email responses. You may not get an email confirming that we got your request. We’re still getting all the requests and we’ll answer you by email in 2 to 5 business days. We’re working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.

Can you please let me know , how much time , did embassy took to correct the mistake?

They just submitted there visa application 2 days back and got there biometric invitation letter with wrong details. So it's in initial stage.

That's great! You are at an initial stage, no nothing to worry.
Once it's fixed you'll be good!

Did he get his bios done (with the same letter) or are you waiting? If you are waiting, at least reserve an appointment date on VFS's website

Vfs center said that ,they will not allow biometric collection, unless name is correct. Since my parents , need to travel to Chandigarh, I didn't took chance, so waiting for change in document.

okay book a date, there are lots of delays because of that. I tried for my family member it was 3 weeks in future. You don't need that letter to get the appointment. Just the email ID, name and DOB.

On thanks for the info. I thought getting appointment would be as easy as its in Bangalore.
I will reschedule it, if their document is not updated.

Hi @myra20sharma , 4 working days have passed since I raised the issue on webform and email as well, but no response. How much should i wait before sending a mail again?
