Sitting at 450 since February with CLB 9. If I retake IELTS to go for CLB 10, my score will be 456. But that would take another 2-4 weeks (preparation+ result).

Do I have a chance in next 2-3 draws or give IELTS CBT straightaway?
You can or sit at another Computer based ielts. It's up to your project. In 2-3 draws crs should drop to 450 in my opinion.

You just spoke my mind. The way they are conducting the draws are not fair, but we have no say in it. I always had a feeling that May will have a FST & PNP draw and people in 450, including me will will suffer as a result of it.
Now what scares me is that they might conduct a PNP only draw next week(since today was only FST), thus creating a 4 week gap between a regular draw and I think they will keep the ITA count to 3350.

They could increase ITA count to 3900+ or even conduct B2B draws later part of the year but that doesn’t help people who will or have lost points due to Birthday.
Vacation part is coming for most of the government workers but I guess they will increase # of itas after during or after vacation period to get the targeted permanent residents. For now, only thing you can do is to wait and see what kind of pathway CIC will be going to take.

Alright guys, we all know that we're quiet shocked or not happy with today's Federal Skilled Trade draw but, at the end we've to digest this "odd draw" this time and move on with high hopes and chins up again!

Now, coming back to the prediction for the next week's draw with the current numbers. There are 1,985 applicants (317+1668) with 451 & above score who'll get the invite for sure. Now, in another one week, there would be approx 200-220 applications which will be added to this range. That means, almost 2,200 invites will be eaten by this range in next week draw and we'll be left with 1,150 invites which will be distributed to applicants with 450 score. Moreover, now I can see they'll adding more invites to the current trend, that means, ITA's will be increased from 3,350 to 3,500/3900 now onwards. So, my prediction for next week is:

Draw Date: May 22
CRS - 450/451
ITA's - 3,350/3,500
Tie Breaker Rule - Not sure.
Very good assumption

Four week gap is extremely improbable. Never happened before. The next Monday or Wednesday should be a all category draw including FSW.

There are many people who do that, its normal. Only problem is timeline for getting sponsorship done for spouse. Min timeline is 10-12 months, max being 16-17 months. But during this period your spouse can stay on visit visa extendable up to a year. Considering the hassle in process and overhead of additional time, consider all options before you take this route.

In my case I have decided to wait out for 2 draws at the least, see the trends and then take this dreaded route. Check spousal sponsorship thread for more detailed responses from people who are in the process currently.
I don’t know who are those people but COC is not fool. They know all tricks used by people. 1st How you will convince CIC THAT YOU don’t need your Spouse with you. And if you will convey them than they will not allow your wife Because you already applied alone . I work as immigration Lawyer had a lot clients came to me with this problem and we can’t do anything because they made a mistake. Never try to play or think of using Tricks against CIC .

All in all, this is little unfair of CIC to do draws in an uneven manner.

In 2019 so far, five months have elapsed and more than 35 percent of the total ITAs so far were issued in January itself.

It seems weird that:
  • Jan - 35 percent
  • Feb, Mar, April and May - 65 percent
Conducting draws in an uneven manner is not the most optimum strategy. They should have done their Math right in the beginning of 2019 on 1 Jan.

I think they will definitely increase their draw size based on below analysis:
  • Pending ITAs = 1.2 (Buffer based on extrapolation from last year) * 81400 - 31750 = 65930
  • Pending fortnights = 16.42
  • Expected ITAs per draw going forward = 4,000
With 4000 ITAs, steady-state cut-off should be 447.

Thus, folks at or above 447 should be hopeful. However, there will be some backlog in the beginning because of what happened yesterday leading to a three week draw.
In short, CIC has messed up everything now!

Anything done to manipulate the system in your favor is hard and leads to improbable outcome. This option to go solo is reserved for genuine cases where both the partners are okay with a long distance relationship or if a medical reason prevents one partner from relocating in the short-term -- 1-2 years.

I went to https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/submit-profile/rounds-invitations/results-previous.html and searched with Federal Skilled Trades Program.

I second whats being said by the other person. Either before or after the Federal Skilled Trades Program round the all program round happened in a week.

Hello guys,
I initially took an appointment for medicals this Saturday since I was expecting my ITA yesterday. Since yesterday was for FST, I did not receive the ITA.

I am thinking of leaving my appointment running because I will be traveling next week for 15 days and I’m afraid that the doctors would not be available when I come back because I come back on an Islamic holiday and would be a long holiday here where I live.

I am expecting ITA in the next draw that will probably take place next Wednesday as I have a high score. Will they accept the tests?

While I know everyone recommends having them close to the submission date, but I have all my documents ready and will be submitting anyway by the 10th of June. I also know that I would get a visa validity up until 1 year post medical test results but I’m planning to land as soon as I get my PR anyway.

Has anyone ever done it? Did they accept your results?

Hi,
Need your insights on review required cases. My AOR is 3rd Aug, 2018 and I have completed 9 months wait period. Through gcms notes I understood am under RR for my employment, R75. I am not been asked for any additional documents either. Any mail to CIC says file is under review with a reviewing officer but no movement at all. Any of you here facing the same issue?? Pls share

Regards
