So if I update my IELTS and submit now, would it get considered for the next draw if that happens in another 5 hours?
Hey Anand,
The best ways for you to improve your chances are: either go for a study program in Canada or for the work permit.
The former will add additional 33 points to your profile, whereas the latter would provide you nearly 25 points.
Moreover, for a study done in Canada you also don't need any evaluation report, which you will have to provide if you go for one in India only.
At the end decision is yours, whichever seems more comfortable to you. Good luck!

@NikSharma01 Thank you very much for your advise. Even Im inclined towards a study program in Canada. However, I had a query wrt to POF for EE after completing the study program. Would I still need to show the POF because I would be applying inland ? Thanks/
To me, both options seems pretty good. However, my recommendation is to go for the one-year study program in Canada, because you will be benefitted by it and will be prioritized everywhere in Canada, because of your Canadian qualifications, even for getting the job opportunities!
If you're a CEC inland applicant, you don't need any POF proofs, because your job will suffice to reflect your financial health.
did you try calculating your score without a spouse ? it will go considerably higher . i'm at 450 with spouse and 470 without.
As for french, i'm a french speaker . it's my country's second language . we start studying it at school since the age of 7 or 8. and let me tell you getting nclc7 in french can't be achieved after a year of study. i see fluent speakers of french stuggling with TEF. I personally managed to get clb9 in IELTS ( w 7, R 7, S 7,5, L 9) on my first try and virtually without any preparation. However i've got nclc 7 in TEF ( S 9, W 10, R 10, L7) with more than a month of rigorous preparation. Besides it is more expensive than IELTS ( by about 50%) and the results take up to 2 months to be in and in case you want to sit for it again you need to wait for 3 months . Save youself all the stress and frustration that comes with TEF and opt for something safer .

You can even do a distance education program, not necessary to do a regular program. Even a distance education program gives you similar points. This will help you retain your job and work and maintain your funds for future

we are both at 450 so it would be wiser to wait for an ITA and spare ourselves the pain and stuggle of a long distance relationship and the sponsoring process which may take up to 1 year . For someone with a lower score and no scope to increase it, i think it would be better to apply alone .
Hi Yes, my CRS right now is without spouse, my score would actually drop if I include my spouse and thanks for the advice on French. I will drop learning French for immigration purposes however would still like to learn the language. Thanks again.
Don’t overstress yourself, just relax. You’ll be fine and through for sure
let this be your back up plan . you just alter you personal details in your EE profile . you pick married and then spouse not accompanying . not sure about the exact terminology used cause my profile is in french (non accompagnant )
