hi guys,

I am an international graduate at a university and I already applied for PGWP (still waiting). I am working full time now at a cheese factory as a production worker. I was wondering if I can stay working here and use it to apply for AOS under PGWP holder after 6 mos?

When you get your PGWP, it will be in effect from when you left college. So, regardless of when you get your PGWP, the time worked will still count for any PNP program. Depending on the program, you may not be able to prove you have an open work permit until you receive it. You will have implied status till a decision is made.

Thank you,

I understand work experience start from when I get the actual PGWP. After 6 mos that’s when I can start applying for a PNP but what I’m confused is that how to prove that this work is related to what I Took at the university. How working in a food processing plant related to a business management degree program. Or should I just look for any managerial position? But no one is gonna hire a new graduate as a manager.

No, work experience starts from when you started working full time, not when you get actual PGWP.

It depends on the PNP program, are they asking that the job be related to what you studied or just a particular NOC code and above.
