Hello friends my Parents Visitor visa got rejected in March 2019 for the reason of assessing officer not being convinced thay they will leave canada based on purspose of visit and also based on their personal assets and financial status. Purpose of visit was to come visit us this summer for sight seeing and my father is also currently employed and I attached his salary slip, house papers and bank statement. They dont have enough savings in the bank account and thus no FD statement was attached. I have attached my salary slip sand bank statements with savings close to CAD12000. Please guide as to what all changes should i do in my application and when and how should I reapply

1. An invitation letter from you again and a cover letter from them.
2. Financial status is again important from them. Any saving account they both have, attach that.
3. House docs and leaves approved from employer stating they'll resume work after visit and tax returns and salary slips.
4. Purpose of travel - Planned itinerary for their stay, reserve air tickets (where credit card is not charged until few days before travel, so you have an option to cancel)
5. You can reapply whenever you want
6. Proof of relationship, again.
7. Your docs - savings, T4s, salary slips, lease/house docs to support their stay, proof of status in Canada.

Thanks for the reply myra20sharma. In relation to 2nd point they dont have any savings in the account however I have few fixed deposit in my name in the country, is it advisable to add them on these deposits and submit a balance confirmation on the banks letter head which will mention the entire amount alongwith all our names.

They generally look for bank statements for last 6 months. These have to be in the name of the primary applicant. Any FD or any long term savings?

FYI, if you do attach any bank statements/savings all should also include a conversion CAD.

Hi Myra , My father visa was rejected last year due the almost similar reasons , not convinced he will return back and his finances plus my socio economic status as I was on maternity leave . I am thinking to reapply .Can you please suggest
1. How much of money I should show in his bank account . Last time I only showed 4 lakh ? What kind of more finances proof I can show . His finacial situation is pretty good but I need to know what all I can show ? He owns property as well .
2. I am only helping my husband in office work who is self employed and I mainly take care of kids at home and was not able to go back to work after maternity as no one was there to take care of kids .Should I sponsor him or my husband sponsor him or I should get my husband as cosigner on sponsorship letter .We own house as well .
3. What else I can provide to show that he will go back to India after stay as he will not overstay for sure but how I can prove that . He is a widower . My siblings stay in other countries . He has visited them a few times . Apart from visiting them he also loves to travel and has good travel history visited UK , AU ,Pakistan etc .He want to see Canada as well plus it is so difficult for me to travel to India with 2 kids and this after pandemic issues so I prefer him to visit . I have not seen him for last 5 years now.
