Hello Gatsbym4,

Hope well. Thanks for visiting this thread.

Well done with all the efforts you have made so far, you are on the right track.

However, have you paid any part of your tuition, I will suggest you try and pay for the entire period of study. Your Uncle will need to show an amount of about 12,000$CAD in his account for your living costs, he also needs to explain clearly the source of his income, and why he is willing to invest so much in helping you develop your career. You also did not mention is you have any travel history, that is very important. If you can address some of this matters, then it will make things work out even better.

I wish you all the best.

Hello,

I applied for a study permit and right now im on my third refusal. I did an inland application because i was in canada on a visitors visa. so i sent my application to the visa office in los angeles. It was refused and i reapplied because i thought the main reason was the funds. It was declined again and when i sought advice, i was told its because im not applying from my home country.

I came back to Nigeria to do an application and it was refused based on all the same grounds which i felt like i had addressed. they say i can reapply so i would like to do that but at this point i just feel like i need professional help. My permit was refused based on these grounds

• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your current employment situation.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the limited employment prospects in your country of residence. You are welcome to reapply if you feel that you can respond to these concerns and can demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements. All new applications must be accompanied by a new processing fee.

How can i best address all these issues please ??

what about a sibling taking a loan and then makes a gift deed for pof? or maybe its safer if i take loan myself in my account and have cosigner to pay the monthly repayments?

Hello Bellap,

I hope well. Thanks for visiting this thread.

I am sorry to say, there is no way I can really advise you here. By applying for a study permit while you were in Canada is already a violation of your tourist visa. By doing so you unwittingly demonstrated that you do not have an intention to return to your home country, and that is something visa officers take very seriously. I would suggest you request for the CAIPS/GCMS report/notes on your application, perhaps it may give you and inroad as to how to address the issues raised.

I wish you all the best.

Cheers

Good Morning Mr Omofar,
My Study Permit application was refused on 09/05/2019 with three reasons 1) Travel history 2) Purpose of your Visit 3) Personal assets and Financial status, after getting a bio-metrics validity letter previous day.

My Timeline is as shown below;
Correspondence Letter May 9, 2019
Correspondence Letter May 8, 2019
Bio-metrics Collection Letter April 10, 2019
Submission Confirmation April 9, 2019
Confirmation of Online Application Transmission April 8, 2019

I have BSc in Elect/Elect Engineering and I was offered full time MASc admission by Memorial University of Newfoundland to study Energy Systems Engineering and to resume Sept 2019.

I'm presently self-employed in a business that is not engineering related but not stated in my LOE.

Please these are the documents I submitted under each section.

Letter of Acceptance-Admission Letter, Minimum Expense Form(Showing Tuition and other fees), Proof of payment of Tuition Deposit of $2,000CAD, Program of Study(showing the name of the course, degree to be awarded and that it is fulltime) and Email correspondence between myself and the School.
Proof of Means of Financial Support -SOA(N12.1M, Joint Account of myself and my wife), SOA(N23M, Sponsor, my Uncle, personal savings account, Cocoa merchant, no registered company), LOS addressed to the School, Affidavit for Sponsorship/Relationship (Maternal Uncle), Letter from my wife's place of work (Proof of her employment), Proof of ownership of a building of two flats-Survey plan, picture and approved plan(Joint ownership with my wife).

Client Info - LOE,TOEFL Result,BSc cert,Membership notification letter from Nigerian Society of Engineers,PCC,Marriage cert, professional course certificate, RSA statement (5M), Proof of Joint ownership of a bus with my wife, No picture), Proof of personal ownership of two plots of land-survey plan and receipt), Proof of personal ownership of one Honda saloon car, No picture), Three letters of previous employments (Two companies with another one for NYSC), Letter of recent promotion, My son birth cert & passport and my wife passport.

Three CIC docs were attached to their various sections.

Please note: I was laid off from my last place of work in October 2018 after working close to eleven years. Presently managing my family business but not stated in my LOE because it is not related to engineering. Also I did not add SOP (Statement of Purpose, I guess?)

Please help me peruse the above to see where I goofed and what I need to add or do better in my next application and also can I reapply without requesting for GCMS notes?

I was about requesting for GCMS notes when I stumbled on this forum and joined and I want to reapply ASAP. Please help.

With God, all things are possible!
