Hi Ash and friends,
My background check has changed from “ your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check” to “ we are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.”
Hopefully this means someone is working on our file . Hope MR is coming soon.

Your timeline please?

To answer another question, it is a good idea to order GCMS notes. I order them every two to three months. Not only does it give an idea of your application but every time an officer has to handle your file to issue your notes. It helps.

Are you submited the case thru agent or by yourself? If thru agent, you sent the GCSM note request by yourself? Thanks in advance

GCMS notes are the notes the visa officer makes on your file. This is a good indication of where your file is in the system and how far you have come along.

My notes were applied thru agent .

The agent applies on our behalf. You need to pay a $ 5 fee for the service which is payable to CIC.

I apply directly to IRCC, so how could I request for a GCDM note ? Many thanks for your kind attention and looking forward to hear from you.

If you are already living in Canada on a work permit then you can apply directly to CIC. If not, then there are companies on the internet which apply and receive the notes on your behalf. They charge more..anything between $25 to $50 for this service. Just type apply for GCMS notes in your google search engine and check out the various companies that do this.
