Birth certificates aren't usually required for primary applicants and their spouses.

You only need birth certificates when you need to prove a relationship (to a brother, say), or parentage.

If they need the birth certificate they will ask for it. Generally speaking, they don't need it.

Yes, that's right. When you start your application you will be given a document checklist and you have to give those documents.

Get the checklists here and see what they say. There are specific requirements based on your country of citizenship etc.
Spouse -> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/spouse.asp
Work Permit (if applying outside Canada)-> https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/application-forms-guides/apply-work-permit-outside-canada.html

Work Permit (inside Canada) -> https://www.canada.ca/content/dam/ircc/migration/ircc/english/pdf/kits/forms/imm5556e.pdf

Once again Thanks for sharing valuable information.
I have one more query if you dont mind pls.

My passport mentioned birth place is X
Later i applied for visitor visa and got valid visitor visa ticket on my passport till 2023 (until passport expired).
Now my wife got PR(Spouse non accompany) and we are going to canada together. As we are in our home country i thougth my wife will aplly later Spouse sponsership while reaching at Canada and may be i will required my Birth certificate at that time. So proactively i tried to get BC form Death and birth department then we came to know my birth place is Y in my birth certificate.

1. Now please let me know is this a right time to correct Birth place X from my passport? as it got stamped Visitor visa and next month we are going to canada and after one month we will start applly for spouse sponsership and work permit.

2. what is the best way to correct it or how?
Thanks in advance

Why do you care what your birth certificate says if you don't need to submit it? Just ignore the discrepancy since no one is asking for your birth certificate.
