I have 9000 CAD in my bank account from my salary my friend is going to give me 2000CAD .Will they want an explanation of where I got the 2000cad ? And how long should the 10000CAD minimum be in my account before I apply

Just get a gift deed from your friend that he is giving you money as a gift and won't ask ever to get it back. Notary this gift deed and attach it with your bank statement while filing your visa.

If you are getting a gift deed, there is no need for funds to be old. You can apply any day after getting funds in your account.
