I had also decided and always wanted Vancouver earlier; but then changed my mind to Toronto.
If I may know what made you choose vancouver ?
Anyone who has chosen Vancouver could also share the opinions :)
Thanks !
(I had been keeping very confused between the two initially)
Me n my husband have thought Vancouver too..

Same status for me as well. Eligibility Met on January and others not started. Checked 2 GCMS notes after that, the same condition.

Does anybody have any idea why this is happening?

No Progress since MEP 9th Jan.
Here is the response recieved when I raised a webform to know my status.
  • The responsible office is not currently verifying if your application meets the eligibility requirements under the immigration program for which you have applied,
    • you may be contacted via your account if additional information is needed.
  • The background verifications are not in process yet.

I have only visited Washington DC, no other travel history, only 1 job, proof of funds is my salary account, noc 2173 and I gave biometrics. According to all the "trends", I should have received my PPR a long time ago, but case processing is just random some cases get processed in a month and others wait more than 6. Your case complexity does not matter when no one is touching your said case.
I know and that's exactly my point it all seems random. Like I said that compared to his case mine looked simpler and yet he got his PR faster. Even he expected I will get it sooner because I applied 2 months before him and here I am still waiting while he has already submitted his passports lol

Hi Everyone

Silent reader for a long time now. Just wanted to let you know that I called CIC yesterday and was told my file was approved last Friday. AOR 30 Nov 2018, PNP Inland, VO Pretoria South Africa. Just waiting for PPR.

Good luck to all.
Congrats

People with January and onward AORs are getting PPRs faster in general. I shared a theory earlier that security is the cause of most of the long processing times (and poor IRCC gets most of the abuse lol) and the introduction of biometrics and faster PPRs can't be a coincidence.
Your theory could be correct. I've also read about that a lot that biometrics have shortened the processing times.

I have read that even our score matters, high scores are processed first. Also how clean is your profile like e.g. no much travel history, no much criminality check the agent can quickly complete his check and push the profile further.
I pretty much fall into this category and still waiting :D:D
