I have granted an acceptance from a Canadian high school for my son. He is a minor and I will accompany him (we have a V-1 visitor visa currently). I have applied for a study permit but I am not sure what kind of additional documents shall be attached to my son's application (a study plan for example).

He needs a gaurdian in Canada since you cannot live with him in Canada while he studies. So you'll need to provide documents to show you have appointed a guardian in Canada for him.

You'll also need to provide a bank balance that shows you have at least $25,000 in savings to cover tuition and living expenses.

I am on work permit in Canada and I had applied for open work permit for my wife and visitor Visa for my son age 7 years on 20 the March 19.i got my wife Visa stamped on 20th of april. But embassy has change my son visitor Visa application to study permit application and ask for additional fee of $50 on 15th of April which I paid on on 16th of April and got acknowledgement letter from the embassy for the same. IAM still waiting for my son's passport request from3 weeks. Please advise how long it will take in my case?
