Sometimes it takes longer for some people
To get aor .. but have u tried calling IRCC maybe they can provide with a temporary number is it’s more than 8 weeks yet
Please stop suggesting people to call IRCC without any reason. @3RNUR5E applied only 45 days ago. There's lots of people from end of March who didn't get AOR yet. What good will a temporary number do to you?

Go ask IRCC what good will a temp number do . ? And also u can just give suggestions so I guess stop being so rude .
I'm not being rude. Your choice is to suggest people to call, and my choice is to ask you not to do that. A temporary number is useless. And 45 days is 6 weeks, not 8. Do you know how hard it is to get an agent when you're calling? And now think about the fact that there are people who actually need help. And they can't get an agent's reply just because there are thousands of impatient applicants calling and blocking the line. By calling them without a reason and by suggesting others to call, you're not helping anyone. You're blocking those who actually need some help or some advice and can't get them because the agents are busy giving a standard reply "it's a 12 months process, just wait".

I've never called IRCC yet. Maybe I will in the future. But I hope I won't need it. So I don't ask for myself. I ask for those who are struggling to get the line. I've heard many times that even waiting for 40 minutes doesn't help because it's hang-up automatically when there's an overwhelming number of calls. And people can't get through. And not everyone has 40 minutes to wait, because IRCC support line only works on regular business hours, and most of people have their job on business hours, i.e. not everyone can dedicate 40 minutes of waiting in the middle of the day.
If I can talk out at least a few people of calling without a reason, I will. Because I believe it will help others, those who really need help.

This may not be the right forum but I couldn't find one specific to my case. I am sponsoring my sister (Family sponsorship - Other relatives). She is my last remaining relative. Both parents passed away years back. I am single and I live in Canada alone. My sister is 30 years old and is a single mum with two little kids. I sent my application to Sydney, NS.

Application sent: February 25, 2019
Application received: March 1, 2019
