Hey friends
I want to change my name but i am already in the process of citizenship next month is my test
I am moving to Ontario in July, i was checking the requirements for name change in ontario it says you have to be a resident of ontario for last 12 months which i won't be
Do you think it's good idea if i apply for name change after test or after oath ?
i am really confused

If you are planning to legal change your name you have to follow the rules of the province first.. 12 month living in is on of the requirements. I think at your stage of the process maybe better keep it like that until your finish your citizenship process, after you need to apply for the legal name change in ON (after one year) and then you can applied for name change in your citizenship certificate. ,any change at this stage can delay your process even more. Good luck.
In cases of name changes as a married name, I am not sure, I think it is easier
