No that’s not the case. Plenty of single people also have received hearings.I see a pattern here.
They seem to be attending to folks who arrived with families or kids. I guess the single people can stay another two years. **sigh**

I think the new policy of Less Complex claims by IRB somehow accelerated the process and reduced administrative and decision making burden. As you will learn, government promises doesn’t actually mean things will actually happen. We do see wait times approving a bit but 6 months would shock me.
There are 70K application that need processing. The process can only go so fast.I think the new policy of Less Complex claims by IRB somehow accelerated the process and reduced administrative and decision making burden.
Less complex cases are usually from countries that have high acceptance rates and have straight forward reasons for needing asylum like war in their country or proof they are part of a well-documented persecuted minority. They seem to be classifying new asylum cases but not sure of the progress on asylum claims from before December 2018.So the less complex case means the case with less evidence? or what can anyone explain please
When did your uncle applied for asylum?Hello friends I went to Montreal to. look how the cases are going there what I found out is 4 of the Afgan families got accepted who came in 2018,, and people from some other countries like Pakistan are still waiting,, however my uncle from Pakistan got a date but it got canceled again just 3 days before hearing
