This is my 2nd attempt with IELTS:

1st: LRWS : 8/6.5/6.5/8
2nd: LRWS : 8.5/7/6.5/8.5
Also Applied for EOR on 2nd attempt and it dint work!

My score is 408 right now. But if I score that missing 0.5 in Writing it will go upto 465. Please share some tips or suggest what shall I do? Should I change my test center will that work?

I am so frustrated :(

How are you preparing for the writing?

I think you should try to hire a teacher specialised with IELTS to help with your writing. I do not see how you can improve in writing if you do not have a tutor to give you feedback in what you have been doing wrong and how you, specifically, can improve to reach a 7. You probably need someone who understand IELTS grading and who can grade your essays and teach you what to change in your essay in order to achieve the score you need.

I gave both CELPIP and IELTS. IELTS is a lot easier for speaking as you can have it scheduled on a different day or after a break from the first portion of the test. CELPIP is like running a marathon where you have to sprint at the end. You will be exhausted after doing LRW and its difficult to think and answer the topics asked in the speaking portion of the test. However, its better for writing as you can see your word count and handwriting/editing is easier.

That being said, I got a great score only in IELTS (LRWS- 9,9,8,8.5 ). CELPIP I fell short in writing and speaking .
Just my 2 cents.
