Expired Passport Refugee Claimant Wants to Renew Work Permit

I'm a refugee claimant. As at the time making the claim, my passport was valid and I applied for a work permit and I got it. Now I need to renew the work permit but my passport expired a few months ago. And the passport is with immigration. How do I go about this. The form keeps prompting me to enter valid passport particulars before it validates. Urgent help needed. Thanks.

For the expiry date section, just put 2020 in the year column and then you should be able to validate it. I’ve always done that & it worked fine. They know it, but if you want you can write a letter stating why you put 2020. Good luck
