the 12 months duration is frustrating, can someone please send a message to the Minister of immigration to speed up family class processes to maximun 3 months.
I know right !!! No we can’t contact mp as of now it’s too early . It is frustrating but whoever applied in jan 2019 they already got passport request it all depends where u r applying from becuz those who got are mostly from India and they process Indians case faster which is like in 3 months ... I guess not fair for others

Completely unreasonable. They already massively reduced processing times. Just so you know, the majority of delays are incurred on your governments part - not Canada. Information sharing between organizations is often what slows everything down. 12 month target for processing (especially when it's often faster) is an extremely reasonable timeline. You have no basis to contact your MP until you pass 12 months. It's important to remember that immigrating is a privilege not a right.

You might be right I have seen many people from India on spreadsheet both January and February waiting for the process. Although one person from Syria in March getting their process pretty fast. R u from Pakistan farhanaaz? I heard India and Pakistan don’t get along. Atleast i heard from lot of my friends who are from Pakistan

Have no idea what you're talking about. Do you mean US apps in Canada or immigrating to US?

It's not a right. You don't have a right just because you pay taxes. That's literally not a thing when it comes to immigrating - completely wrong.

As I already stated IRCC has done a lot of work to optimize the process and make things faster. It was way worse pre December 2016.

I mean, it depends on what you're talking about with regard to US settlement. I lived there for 2 years on an exchange visa, and yeah it took like 3 or 4 months total to get that sorted. But that's not the same as sponsoring a spouse to live there permanently. I had a couple friends do that, and does take about a year in the US too. Plus you have to apply for the green card on top of it once you're there. Unfortunately, you'll find that most countries have a pretty lengthy process when it comes to permanent settlement. Makes it no less frustrating to deal with, of course! But it isn't something unique to Canadian immigration.

To answer better on this I have to wait. In my case there is no red flag but seems there is no one looking after my file after the file no...I have no problem to wait for 1.5 years if I would have know the result of the process. Now its full of uncertainty.

It's normal. They assign bring forward dates to files. They do not constantly work on them. You need to be patient.
