Visitor Record to stay longer in Canada

Hi,

We have applied an extension to stay for my mother here in Canada. The latest update was a Final decision has been made and a visitor record document will be mailed to us.

However, there's also a pending Medical request on the same application. Below is the application status:

Should my mother still go through a medical exam? Will CIC revoke her visitor record/extension if we do not submit the result of the medical exam within 30 days when the request has been sent?

You should do the medical exam. Even if they do not revoke the visitor record for noncompliance, it will be a factor on any other applications you may make for your mother in the future.

If her extension is approved, it will be conditional on the medical. She needs to get it done or it will invalidate the extension.

Yes, she needs to do the medical. The Visitor Record will have a requirement listed on it stating that the medical must be done.
