Visitor Visa refused for minor child

The minor child has travelled to several countries on tourist visa, however the Canada visitor visa was rejected on grounds that don't seem to make much sense. Please see grounds for refusal below. Every other family member travelling with the child (over the age of 18) was granted the tourist visa.

How does a child satisfy personal assets and financial status. Doesn't make sense.

Can we re-appeal? If yes, how long and what's the process and how long?

Grounds for Refusal:
I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.

· I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.

· I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your travel history

You cannot appeal. You need to reapply, addressing the visa officer concerns.

Sounds like you are a PR. Not uncommon for children of PRs to be refused a TRV because they are moving to Canada and are not temporary residents. You can attempt a TRP or else you or your spouse will have to come to Canada and need to sponsor the child for PR from Canada.

1. Is this your child? If yes (and it seems you landed as PR recently) did you not include the child as your dependent?

2. If this is someone else's child then what was the purpose and duration of the visit?

3. Did the parents of the child apply for TRVs for themselves by indicating the child as a family tie to return to?

Hi Friends , I have a similar situation , I applied PR for my minor kids who is with my spouse outside Canada. I would like to process a TRP or visitor visa for my kids. Me and my wife are already PR. Any advise / suggestion on what reason I shall mention such that it doesnot conflict PR application and visitor visa.. ?
