I have paid fee for Information systems business analysis at northern college, pures campus, Toronto. It's length is 2 semesters. Now I have to get a GIC account. Which bank is better ICICI or Scotia Bank?Your course for which u have applied

Also, my cousin recently got her citizenship in Canada and she recommended that I go with Scotia instead of ICICI.
My program will start in September and complete on April 30, so it's 8 months in total. But offer letter states that program length is 1 year. Hence it counts as a 1 year program.2 semester means? 1yr or 8 months?
I have already read these answers on quora. But this has confused me even more. As my college(Pures college) is located in Scarborough, both banks have branches in Scarborough, Brampton and downtown Toronto.I'd refer to this link
