IRCC doesn’t work on weekends, unless it’s a bot sending out invitations, the invitations will need to be received by tomorrow, Friday if it is in fact 60 days from when you are invited, currently June 28. #mytheory

Online confirmation only means that you are in the game!! Does not guarantee you an email in 1st round!! Hopefully in next round or next year if dont received this time! !
Um...online gives a specific deadline for them to receive the application..and mentions “1st round”..lol...so you are incorrect.

(1) Parents will get Permanent residency for lifetime although they they need to reside 2 year in every 5 years to maintain this status.
(2) To meet these residency obligations, you must be physically present in Canada for at least 730 days (2 years) in every 5-year period. The 5-year period is assessed on a rolling basis. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) will look back at your time in Canada over the previous 5 years.

What do you mean?

New PRs will need to fulfill their Residenacy Obligation. (Roughly 2 years within the rolling 5 years after they become PR)
They need to renew their PR card but NOT their PR. PR card expiry has nothing to do with their PR status.

They need to provide proof of they residency (number of days in Canada) and tie to Canada when they try to renew their PR card and when they want to apply for citizenship.
(Or when they don't meet their RO and got reported and being review to revoke their PR)

Start keeping track of exact dates they are in and out of Canada (even for cross border shopping day trips). That will be handy for the future.
