I boarded from Seattle, US on 22 Sep 2014 and landed in India on 24 Sep 2014. This is consistent with the immigration stamps too.

In the address history, where do I allocate 23 Sep 2014? There is no option of "Air Space".

I read that there should be no gaps in address history.

Your US Departure stamp will read 22 Sep (as will your I-94 record) and India arrival will read 24 Sep.
So for all practical purposes, and as far as dates are concerned, you were in the US UNTIL you re-entered India.
