Applying for PR under Spouse in Canada Class

Hi guys,

I just recently got married to a canadian citizen and we're looking to apply for a PR.
I was allowed to stay in Canada for 6 months as a visitor. I landed in Feb 2019 and my 6 months stay will be over by August2019.
My TRV is about to expire on Feb 2020.

My question is if I have an application for a PR and say, I was granted with an open work permit do I still need to apply for a TRV considering my current visitor visa is expiring in Feb 2020?

The validity of your TRV has nothing to do with status in Canada. You don't need to apply for a new one.

Get your PR/OWP apps in soon and you should have the OWP before your current status expires.
