It's more like a little below 50%. Been studying in the US for 4 years now, and I my PR status for Canada is still vague. I think it's a personel issue. Because Indians apply in volumes, verification process is somewhat easier, being an Indian in the US makes it even easier. Also, more officers treat cases from India compared to any other country e.g. 1 officer might be responsible for all cases from sub-saharan Africa, while 5 officer might be assigned to Indian alone.
Not surprising really because of the high number of Indians applying for PR

Just got off the call with ircc and got to know that my file is being processed in Vancouver and is approved(probably the day I got ghost update on Apr 4th).
All I can do is wait for the officer to send me "the" mail.Hopefully soon
Congratulations.

Hi I have applied for the work permit extension and yesterday I received an email saying that the fee should be $255 and I had paid only $155 and should pay $100 remaining before a certain date. Though I have paid the fee and sent the receipt as well. It also mentioned that if not paid before the due date the decision will be made based on documents provided.

But I was just wondering if I should consider this is a good sign or not. I am really scared as my PGWP is about to expire.
Yes, they ask that $100 as a 'work permit holder fee' or so! Did you apply for the bridge/open or closed like LMIA approved work permit? That is usually for Open Workpermit, I thought.
I think that is a standard statement i.e. any decision that is made by IRCC is based upon your documents provided !

i called ircc today and honestly the agent was super polite. when i called , the computerized system estimated a wait time of 58 minutes but i got call from the agent within 30 minutes. MY AOR is 12 January and medicals were passed in Feb but since then i haven't received any update. the agent confirmed that right now my file is with Edmonton office (since i live in Edmonton may be thats y; they are running background check).
she told me everything looks good in my application and they don't need any further documents thats why i dont see any kindaaa update for my file.

My sister in law got her passport request today. her AOR was 30 october. it took 5.5 months for her application. so i believe it all depends on the case and the workload of officer who is handling ur case.

AOR 12 JAN; CEC; NATIONALITY : INDIAN; COUNTRY OF RESIDENCE: CANADA
