Hello all,
I am planning to apply super visa for my father. When I immigrated here, there were two forms I filled up one is Background declaration and the other one is additional family information. I mistakenly provided my father's date of birth different form one another. Wondering which date of birth they will consider correct. My father's date of birth is matched with the first one. Also I didn't apply for my father's passport yet in back home. Now my concern is, will it be a problem for super visa if it doesn't match. Or how can I access my parents information here in CIC. Can you guys give me a suggestions regarding the issue. Thanks in advance.

1. Curious to know how you intend to apply for his super visa without him having a passport.

2. You cannot choose any arbitrary date of birth for your dad. There must be a government document: For example, his birth certificate (essential to get a passport too)

3. Hope you have at least one NOA to prove that you meet LICO to host him on a super visa

Hi Bryanna,
Thanks for your concern. I put mistakenly two different date of birth on my immigration papers although one is correct. I have the meet the LICO with the recent NOA. The date of birth of my dad on his birth certificate is correct. He is also applying for his passport. Now wondering the date of birth of my dad on my immigration papers that I filled up on two different forms.

Not an issue. You can include an explanation when your dad applies.

As long as at least one recent NOA confirms you meet LICO, it's okay.

His passport will be issued based on his birth certificate. And, that's the date you will mention in his visa application too
