Hi all. Let me share my time line here.
Applied online : March 14
Biometrics: upfront
Medical: upfront
Additional documents request: April 14 - Supervisa Medical Insurance
Medical passed: April 15

I have a question here. I have already provided a one-year supervisa medical insurance policy online (under OPTIONAL DOCUMENTS). I am confused why they are asking again for the same document. I called the insurance company, and they confirmed that the document they sent me is the right document requested by the IRCC, and that they issue thousands of policies providing the same document, and there had never been an issue. Appreciate your inputs

Thanks for your reply.
I am concerned that I may send the same document and it ends up being refused, I do not understand what they did not like about the insurance policy that I sent originally.

IRCC can request for any document. Your only option is to resend it.

A quick recheck before you resend it:
1. Minimum insurance coverage of CAD 100,000 for at least one year

2. Purchased from a Canadian insurance company

3. It covers pre-existing medical conditions

4. The insurance coverage starts from the intended arrival date of your parent

hello experts i need help with my application
I'm going to apply for my parents super visa
i have been working since 2016 and just got my PR 2 months back
but i have my NOA from last 2 -3 years
I'm married and living with my spouse and he is working since 2015
i have 2 questions
my last years NOA says my income was $45000
and it was around same in 2017
is that okay for me to sponsor my parents?
* if my parents need to show any bank balance ?
they don't have any bank balance or savings right now but they do own a property
and the rough idea for insurance is it going to cost around $1400-$1500

any help will be appreciated

1. You must meet LICO for 4 persons (assuming you don't have children + no active sponsorships)

2. Your parents must have at least a little bit of money in their accounts + some reasonable ties

3. Insurance will depend on their age and any pre-existing medical conditions. You need to speak to an insurer

Hello

I have a related follow up question. I originally purchased insurance for my parents in February and had to move forward the effective date to the next month with the insurance company since IRCC hadn’t reached a decision yet. That is okay to do right?

Based on observed pattern, it should be a week or two or even lesser to get an update on medical. Again it all depends on IRCC officers. Please keep us posted if you see any update on your application so that it helps many here.

Thank you. All the best.
