What is the difference between the eta (electronic visa authorization) and the study permit? I know that international students need to apply for a study permit. Please I need more clarifications about eta

The Visa allows you to travel in, out and around Canada during tour stay while the study permit authorities you to study.
Usually if at the point of tour application you do not have a Visa allowing you to travel to Canada, IRCC will issue one to you if your study permit is approved. the application for the ETA will be among the documents required when applying for the permit.
PS: if approved your permit will be issued at the boarder.
