Do you guys know if there would be a temp. file number between time Application Received and time of AOR ? Mine was received two weeks ago and every time I call, they still do not have a temp file number.
No, there is no temporary application number before the AOR. "Application Received" is just saying that they received it from the courier or postal service; AOR is when they have verified that it has been completed per their guidelines and is awaiting processing/review by a CIC officer. When they send you the AOR, you'll get an application number for your application, and a unique client identifier number if that is the first application you sent to them.Do you guys know if there would be a temp. file number between time Application Received and time of AOR ? When I call them and give them my receipt number that starts with R, or look me up by name, they still don't show it was received. No, there is no temporary application number before the AOR. What receipt number are you referring to? The tracking number assigned by the courier to your package? They don't go by that, nor do they record it.When I call them and give them my receipt number that starts with R, or look me up by name, they still don't show it was received.
The application payment receipt number, every CIC application needs a payment, a piece of paper that has a number starts with an 'R'.What receipt number are you referring to? The tracking number assigned by the courier to your package? They don't go by that, nor do they record it.
When you get your AOR, you'll be able to follow your status through eCAS, or electronic client application status. It looks like this:
Until then, you just need to wait for them to send you the AOR because there is no way for them to keep track of your application until they open it up, verify that it has been completed per their guidelines, assign it an application number, and send you the AOR with said number.
- We received your application for a citizenship certificate (proof of Canadian citizenship) on xxx xx, xxxx.
- We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on xxx, xx, xxxx.
- We started processing your application on xxx xx, xxxx.
The payment receipt is proof that payment was made for an application, not your application. It will be tied to your application when they issue you the AOR because it means that they have accepted your application as complete with payment. The application payment receipt number, every CIC application needs a payment, a piece of paper that has a number starts with an 'R'.
Yes.My concern is, every time I call them, they don't see any trace of my application. So do they not get entered into the system until AOR?
Yes, that is normal. Until it has been opened and verified for completeness, you can imagine that it is sitting in a bin with hundreds of other packages they received every day, waiting for said event to take place. They received it two weeks ago. Like is this normal for them not to see it when I call if the AOR has not gone out?
Ok thank you.The payment receipt is proof that payment was made for an application, not your application. It will be tied to your application when they issue you the AOR because it means that they have accepted your application as complete with payment.

Looks like 7C1 and 7C7 are right next to each other, and I'm pretty sure they know where the CIC office is. So there is really nothing to be worried about.I am concerned because I wrote the last character of the postal code wrong, it is a 1 and I put a 7. Not my postal code, but CICs postal code.
If you supplied your e-mail address to them, then you would be notified by e-mail, otherwise it would be by regular mail or through the embassy. You should be notified in eCAS after the status changes to "in process", saying something like 'A letter has been sent to you.' If you don't get notified after the usual processing time has passed though, then there's a good chance your application got sent to the PSU and you should ask the embassy to check for you. But you only sent off your application less than 3 months ago, applications submitted to embassies take longer, and there is nothing you can do about it now, you should just relax and have faith that it will eventually get processed. If it does get sent to the PSU, then you won't be able to do anything at all about it for up to 2 years, so just put it to the back of your mind and get on with your life. How do we know if an application is sent to program support? Does CIC usually email the applicant? I noticed most havent been informed of whats really going on. ECAS will just be AOR.
For applications outside CA&USA, do we have to wait for 9 months and if application status is forever AOR in ECAS does it mean application has been sent to Program support?
Ok Hopefully I'd get an AOR by end of this month.Looks like 7C1 and 7C7 are right next to each other, and I'm pretty sure they know where the CIC office is. So there is really nothing to be worried about.
Hi What day did they receive your app and what day did you receive your AOR.Hi
I have sent my application to CPC Sydney on January 2019. And received an email informing me that they received my application by march 2019.
On May 3rd. I received an email saying that my application is sent to the PSU. How can I know the reason my application was sent there?
If I want to call them, how can I call them?
How long might this application take to be processed?
Thanks
They received my application on the March 21,2019.Hi What day did they receive your app and what day did you receive your AOR.
Have you had a precious citizenship certificate before or not ?
